It’s just all go here! The last couple of days have been pretty full on what with packing and cleaning and saying goodbyes. It’s been good though.The daytime has been spent doing the practical house things and then we have fun with people in the evenings – it’s a good balance!
J had his last day of work in Freo yesterday and then in the evening one of his doctor friends hosted a BBQ for us. About a dozen other doctors from the hospital came along and we had a lovely evening hanging out in the garden. J’s had great colleagues!

And then after a pretty intense practical day today we went round to the Geddes’ (note the apostrophe John!) for wine and Australian Open tennis and to enjoy possibly our last evening with them living just round the corner (they’re moving to Christchurch too but what are the chances of us living so close again!?) It’s been great having them as neighbours!
Janet reminded us about this clip – brought tears to our eyes!!
And so tomorrow we take to the skies and head on over to the Land of the Long White Cloud. Can’t wait!!
